If you ever have a chance to camp on a beach, I highly recommend it! That's how we spent day 3 of our PCH road trip. We drove right on to the beach and set up camp. I was a little worried with how a VW van would drive on sand, but Gerty pulled through. There was an endless sight of sand dunes right behind our campsite, something I had never seen before so close to a beach! It was the perfect spot for a little adventure, ATVs were whizzing by driving through the 5.5 miles of sand. We set up camp, laid on the beach, started a fire and chatted the night away. Oceano Dunes is definitely a place to check out if you're in Pismo Beach.
The next day, we decided to go to a winery (because California). We did a taste testing at Roblar Winery. It was a beautiful, 40-acre vineyard in the heart of Santa Barbara County. They distribute their own wine, you won't find it anywhere else! The wine was delicious and the estate was beautiful. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
After our wine tasting, we decided to head back to the city and spend a few days in La-La Land.
